Wow I grew up in chicago in the 60’s , we had homerun inn pizza too, loved it, I guess my. Black father must have used a white friend also, oh well I’m just glad I had the experience. I grew up on 28th and Springfield and have very fond memories of walking there many times with my Dad to pick up a pizza or two. My Dad started going there when he was in High School at Farragut. I feel very fortunate to have grown up playing ball at Lawndale Park, knowing Nick, and having the greatest pizza Chicago has to offer.
